Sea of Thieves (PvPvE) R6 Extraction (PvE) and State of Decay 2 (PvE) are all mp games I enjoy. The only limiting factors are the time you are willing to invest into any game, and your hardrive space. Really, just have a gander and grab what interests you. Also, it has Danganronpas 1-3, which are Japanese murder-mystery visual novels with point and click exploration segments. The various RPGs of course, from Wasteland remakes to Fallouts and JRPGs like Persona 5.
The new Wolfenstein games (New Order etc.) are slightly more story focused IMO than the typical FPS of today. Story-focused games? Try the Yakuza series, it has Zero through to six, though one and two are represented by their Kiwami remakes rather than the original versions. Zombie Army 4 is also there, though it's more actiony horror as you fight literal zombie-nazis. This War of Mine IMO is also kind of a horror game, in that while it's not supernatural or otherwise paranormal horrors, it is about surviving as a civilian in the horrors of war when your hometown is collapsing. I don't know if the Walking Dead games by Telltale count as horror to you, but they're on there. The Dead Space games if you are willing to make a free EA account. If you want horror, go for Alien Isolation, The Evil Within, the Amnesia games, maybe Dead by Daylight (it's multiplayer and has a problem with hackers according to a friend who plays).
